VIDEO: Frost Manor presents Everyday Hero and Inspired Leadership awards
The Frost Manor team recently hosted a ceremony to honour the Lindsay, Ont. long-term care home’s 2019 Everyday Hero and Inspired Leadership award recipients.
The Everyday Hero award annually recognizes OMNI Health Care employees at each of the organization’s 18 long-term care homes who embody OMNI’s mission, vision and values in the workplace, while demonstrating kindness and caring in everything they do.
Life enrichment aide Kim Williams was named Frost Manor’s Everyday Hero for her positive attitude and a genuine desire to enhance quality of life for residents.
“Kim is a consistent burst of energy to the team,” her co-workers say in their nomination. “Kim begins each day with a bright smile and (an) enthusiasm which spreads to others. Kim faces each challenge with a positive attitude.”
The Inspired Leadership Award is presented annually to staff members from each OMNI home. The accolade recognizes people who demonstrate OMNI’s mission, vision and values. Inspired Leaders also possess outstanding leadership skills and are committed to their work.
Registered nurse Brittney Sharpe was named Frost Manor’s 2019 Inspired Leadership Award recipient. Her co-workers say Brittney embodies OMNI’s core values, especially fun and laughter, creativity, friendliness and integrity, through her work every day.
