VIDEO: Frost Manor becomes a water park for a day

LINDSAY, Ont. – On the sunny afternoon of Aug. 26, Frost Manor turned its backyard into a water park and gave residents a chance to go for a ride down a 50-foot water slide team members had set up.

While some residents were wary about going down the water slide at first, their apprehension soon disappeared, and by the end of the activity, about 10 residents had taken a turn.

Residents sat in a plastic tube with straps attached at the sides. Maintenance manager Rick Riel and life enrichment co-ordinator Lyndsay Burton pulled residents down the slide with the straps.

The smiles on residents’ faces said it all.

“I enjoyed that,” said 99-year-old Chris Todd after taking a turn.
