West Lake administrator offers advice to LTC homes on creating ‘wound rounds’ initiatives

West Lake Terrace has improved skin integrity for the Prince Edward County long-term care home’s residents by initiating a “wound rounds” program to prevent skin issues and treating skin ulcers quickly and effectively when residents move into the home with these issues. Since launching its “wound rounds” program in 2017, the West Lake Terrace team has been successful at healing lesions quickly for residents who move into the Prince Edward County long-term care home with skin issues. The team has also been successful at preventing skin lesions from occurring. Read more
