Diet and Nutrition

Nutritional goals are achieved through our Nutritional Care Manager and staff, with input from the Consulting Dietitian, Residents Council and you. Three meals a day plus three nutritious snacks are provided for the resident. Alternate selections are available and residents are made aware of the choices at each meal.

Special and therapeutic diets and nutritional supplements are provided to the resident as the need arises. Feeding devices are also available for residents, as the need is indicated (i.e. rimmed plates, special cups, built up utensils). Meal service is provided in the dining rooms.

Sample Menu

OMNI provides each home with a seasonal menu that is changed twice each year in the Spring and the Fall. Each menu includes a selection of seasonally available foods.

The Core Menu is planned, with input from Residents, to meet the nutritional needs of the residents and at the same time to support the new Canada’s Food Guide recommendations for types and amounts of servings.
