Enthusiasm is running high as OMNI Health Care homes prepare for mandatory public reporting next April.
Anyone can view not only statistics on care but also quality improvements plans online. It’s an exciting development for long-term care homes, says Sarah Ferguson, eastern operations director at OMNI.
“Our data is still going to be up there. We’re still publicly reporting but now we get to tell our side of the story,” she says.
Ferguson adds that it’s “something we should feel really good about.”
Consumers will find value in the availability and transparency of not only the information shared by the homes but also their improvement plans.
Residents will also benefit from the higher level of care driven by quality improvement efforts.
